White Collar Charity Boxing - November 2007

Presented by the Henley Group, the second event of White Collar Boxing in Singapore had a roaring crowd of 600 cheering on the respective boxers. It featured the first ever ladies bout between Kartina Evans and Keryn Cook.

The first “White Collar Charity Fight Night” held in Singapore will be on 29th June 2007 at the Grand Copthorne Hotel, Waterfront.

20 guys, 12 weeks training all ready to do battle in one big night for Phil Greening's Sporting Chance Foundation Charity.

The event is a charity amateur boxing exhibition under Commonwealth White Collar Boxing Association (CWCBA) rules. It involves regular guys learning to box, the majority of whom are newcomers to the sport having never put on a glove in their life. We are not looking for the fittest athletes or skilled fighters, just regular guys who have a real desire to get fit and learn to box with a professional coach to the benefit of themselves and a worthy children's charity.

The first professional boxing title match since 1989 in Singapore.
A sartorially elegant 600 audience gathered over dinner to witness an enthralling 6 fight card including Singaporean 'Ami' Nor Rizan's winning debut at Super Bantamweight. The title match was broadcast live on ESPN STAR Sports. PUREdetails were appointed event and sponsorship consultants and successfully delivered the event from start to finish in less than 3 months.
